PNP CALABARZON TO HIRE 370 COPS

The PNP CALABARZON is now accepting applicants for POLICE OFFICER 1 recruitment at Camp Vicente Lim which started February 2, 2009.

PCSUPT PERFECTO P PALAD , Regional Director PRO CALABARZON has ordered recruitment of 370 new Police Officers 1 to be distributed to the five provinces of CALABARZON.

According to Palad, the recruitment of new Police Officers 1 (PO1) is part of regular recruitment program of the PNP to fill–up the vacancies resulting from the attrition of Police Non Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) who were separated, died, retired, dropped from rolls and dismissed PNP Personnel.

“The PNP CALABARZON is looking forward that with this recruitment of Police Officer 1 Personnel, it will strengthen our police forces in fighting criminalities in the region.” PALAD added.

An Ad hoc Committee activated at the City/Municipal level allotted with quota shall screen and recommend local applicants through a council resolution to the mayors who in turn shall indorse to the Regional Director.

The Police Regional Office CALABARZON is now starting to facilitate new police applicants with the following qualifications:

• a citizen of the Philippines
• a person of good moral character
• must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, medical, dental and drug test to be administered by the PNP Health Service
• Must posses formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution
• Must be legible in accordance with the standards set by the commission
• Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or an AWOL or dropped from rolls of the PNP service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government.
• Must have no pending criminal case in any court, including at the Office of the Ombudsman or administrative case if he/she is already an employee of the government
• Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude.
• Must at least one meter and sixty two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty seven centimeters (1.57m) for female.
• Must weight not more or less than five kilograms (5.0 kg) from the standard weight corresponding to his her height, age and sex.
• Must be not less than twenty one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age

The appropriate eligibilities for Police Officer 1 are the following:

• NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Examination
• RA No. 6506 (licensed criminologist)
• RA No. 1080 (Bar and Board examinations of Baccalaureate degree)
• PD No. 907 ( Granting Civil Service Eligibility to College Honor Graduates)
• Civil Service Professional Examination

PSSUPT RONALD V SANTOS , Chief of Personnel Division PRO CALABARZON said the schedule of simultaneous oath-taking of the new recruits is on July 1, 2009 and they will be turned over immediately to Police National Training Institute for the regular PNP Field Training Program (FTP) for the next 12 months.
